Trauma-Informed Yoga

Trauma-Informed Yoga is an approach to creating a safe, supportive space in which students can learn emotional regulation skills through connection with the breath and increased body awareness. I’ll guide you through this practice which can help you heal from past trauma, reduce suffering, and increase well-being, teaching you how to respond in the moment, rather than react.

2022.04.09 Regulate and Balance

This Yoga class is designed to help regulate and balance the nervous system, as well as stretch your body. Our bodies desire to be in balance yet, when we experience constant stress our autonomic nervous system gets dis regulated making it very difficult for our bodies to rebound. We will use physical yoga postures and breathing techniques to safely stimulate the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
