Crazy Loon Challenge 2021

Has 2020 taken its toll on you? Are you stuck in a rut? Do you feel like nothing ever changes? Do you ever struggle to love yourself?

You’ve probably been making everyone else a priority while ignoring yourself and now you’re feeling the effects. It’s like you’re living in the valley of despair with no way out.

Maybe you’re running out of steam. You’re stressed to the max most of the time and you are just one more “But Mom!!” or “Sorry we got your order wrong” away from losing your…shhh… More importantly, you know that if you don’t take action and make some changes now, you run the risk of not being there for those you love when they truly need you most.

I feel your frustration and I know what it’s like. I’ve been there. Sometimes, I go back there. I know what it’s like not to make myself a priority, to feel stuck in a rut, run out of steam, and end up taking an involuntary vacation. It’s no fun. That’s why I’ve made fitness a priority for myself; to work that crazy out BEFORE all that other stuff happens. Because of this, I’ve done a lot of research and I’ve worked to put together this Crazy Loon Challenge to help you take back your life and to help you feel good about you again.

So, here is the plan. The challenge starts on January 1 and ends on the 31st. The cost is $90 for non-members and $50 for current members. Here’s what we’re going to do:

  • 20 Hours of Exercise. We’re going to work out. Duh!! Here’s what that means. During the challenge, that’ll be five hours per week. You need to participate live, either in-person or virtually via Zoom. This is for accountability, but also for community and encouragement. Workouts will be during the week at 6PM and on Saturday mornings.
  • 20 Protein Shakes. We’re going add more protein each day by adding a protein shake to our diet. (The protein powder is plant-based and has only 1g of sugar in it. I’ll provide recipes for you that will taste great without becoming a sugar bomb. Oh, and this will also be one of the ways to add more fruits and veggies to your daily intake.)
  • 31 Days of no/low sugar. We’re going on a sugar fast. Well, probably not completely, but we’re going to greatly reduce our sugar intake. (I’ll provide a food list for you. And you’ll have a few cheat days, too.)
  • 200 cups of fruits and veggies
  • 300 cups of water
  • We’ll have a kick-off meeting to lay out the ground rules, discuss all the details, and provide you with the resources you need to be successful. We’ll also have a few more meetings for checking in, asking questions, and encouraging each other to stay the course.
  • We’ll have a private Facebook group for accountability, encouragement, and sharing additional information throughout the challenge.
  • You’ll have access to my friend, fellow member, and board certified Health Coach, Kathryn Langston, for coaching and encouragement throughout.

Ok. Time for a reality check. I know what you’re thinking. This isn’t going to be easy. It will be hard. And you’re right. You might need to have a heart-to-heart with your spouse asking for their support. Maybe you need to invite your family or a friend to join you for additional accountability. Maybe you’re already doubting yourself and your resolve to follow through. That’s ok. I believe in you. And…I know that this is a doable challenge. If you want to be the best you, if you want to be the best you for those you love, make yourself the priority for one month. Don’t put it off.

Imagine waking up on January 31, looking in the mirror, seeing the positive changes, and feeling good about yourself and the choices you made. Now think about how you took on this hard challenge and developed better habits that will carry you through 2021 and beyond. It’s just the start!
