Thanks for your interest in contributing to the Fitness Loon website.

Our goal is simple: publish helpful, encouraging content that supports women in our community as they build consistency with movement, improve wellness, and strengthen mental health.

Because some topics related to wellness, mental health, and recovery are high-trust, we follow a clear policy to protect our readers and our brand.

What We Consider

We may consider guest content that fits our mission and voice, including:

  • Practical wellness education that supports consistent movement (stress management, sleep, recovery, habit-building)
  • Mental health topics written for general education (not treatment)
  • Recovery-support topics that focus on encouragement, community, and safe resources
  • Local community stories or perspectives that align with our supportive, non-intimidating environment

What We Don’t Accept

To keep our content trustworthy and aligned, we do not accept:

  • Link insertions into existing articles (paid or unpaid)
  • “SEO articles” written primarily to build backlinks
  • Affiliate links, coupon links, or promotional tracking links
  • Medical advice, diagnosis guidance, or instructions for treating conditions
  • Miracle claims, “quick fixes,” detox cures, or extreme protocols
  • Content that shames, intimidates, or uses fear-based messaging
  • Requests to add random providers/facilities to our Resources page

Our Resources page is curated based on personal connection, direct experience, and/or verified trust. We don’t add listings simply upon request.

Content Standards (Required)

If we consider your submission, it must meet these standards:

  • Written for real people (clear, supportive, and practical)
  • Original content (not published elsewhere)
  • Accurate, evidence-informed claims with credible sources when making health-related statements
  • Respectful and non-triggering language (especially for mental health and substance use topics)
  • No exaggerated promises or guarantees

We reserve the right to edit for clarity, tone, accuracy, formatting, and alignment.

Links, Promotions, and Disclosures

We do not sell or place links on request.

If your content includes references to an organization, service, or product:

  • Any links included are at our discretion
  • We may use nofollow and/or sponsored link attributes when appropriate
  • We may remove or modify links at any time

If a post is sponsored, it must be disclosed clearly. Sponsored content is not guaranteed to be published.
